After
much consideration and feedback I decided to alter my magazine front cover. I
mostly focused on re-doing the left hand side which had the text. I changed the
‘Insane Preview’ to just the title of the film ‘Insane’. The text has a similar
style to the masthead as it is written in white bold typography with a black
stroke around it resulting in it being more visible. Furthermore, I stretched
the text a tad as when I was analysing other real media text the main title was
always a bit stretched in order to stand out. Moreover instead of having red
subheadings with yellow text underneath, I decided to have the subheadings in
yellow and the text in white to make the magazine look neater and put together.
Before I believe I had too many colours so the reader may have gotten confused
while navigating through the page. I further emphasised the distinction between
the sub heading and the text by making the subheading text size larger, and I also
added a thin stroke to make it stand out. The text underneath is in white to
match the title and keep the colour scheme intact. I decreased the size of the
button and used it as a promotion tool to lure in the audience more by offering
tickets to a brand new movie premiere. Lastly the shortened down the banner
that use to go through the whole width of the magazine. I made this decision as
I wanted the audience to be able to see the whole of the mask.
